On Sunday 13 October, Farmer Jack’s Supermarkets was proud to be the major sponsor of a long lunch to raise funds for VoiceworksPLUS.
What is VoiceworksPLUS?
VoiceworksPLUS is a performance ensemble which fosters the talents of young people who are living with disabilities.
The VoiceworksPLUS choir, which is run by not-for-profit community choir Voiceworks, helps participants develop their musical talents, performance skills and encourages greater integration between the participants and the wider community.
Dare to Dream Long Lunch
Ms Jacquie Chan, Managing Director & Owner of Miss Chow Restaurants hosted invited guests to the Dare to Dream Long Lunch, the annual fundraising event for VoiceworksPLUS, at Rice Baby.
Over 150 guests enjoyed a four course feast created by Jacquie along with MasterChef 2019 finalist Derek Lau, served with fine wines from Vasse Felix. The lunch was accompanied by delightful entertainment by the fabulous Four on Six – Duo with a Difference and Gavin Nicklette.
The successful event raised over $25,000 to support the important ongoing work of VoiceworksPLUS in the community.
A history of Community Support
As a wholly Western Australian business that is proud to stand behind our state and support the local economy, Farmer Jack’s also has a strong track record of giving back to the community. In 2015, Farmer Jack’s Managing Director Fred Fairthorne was proud to present the Gascoyne Food Council with a $100,000 donation to help support regional producers who were devastated by Tropical Cyclone Olwyn.
VoiceworksPLUS is a local not-for-profit initiative in cultural partnership with the City of Subiaco.
