This delicious Pink Lady Apple and Honey Porridge is a ridiculously easy to make breakfast which only takes 15mins to make With a creamy and delicious oats flavour that combine well with the delicious Pink Lady apples this recipe will be a new staple in your household.

 

 

Ingredients

  • 2 Pink Lady Apples
  • 500ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 85g porridge oats
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp flaked almonds

Prep time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 10 mins

Method

  1. Thinly slice two Pink Lady apples. Add the sliced apple to a frying pan with 1 tsp butter. Cook the apple until golden brown, around 2 minutes each side.
  2. Add 500ml semi skimmed milk and 85g porridge oats to a saucepan. Cook over a medium heat, stirring gently until thick and creamy, around 5-7 minutes. Add extra milk to the porridge if it starts to become too thick.
  3. Serve the porridge hot, topped with the pan-fried apples, a sprinkle of cinnamon and a drizzle of honey. For crunch add some flaked almonds.
